Using the Sandbox

Our Sandbox allows you to test the application functionality without using real money. This way you can try the application to see if it meets your needs in a free secure manner.

This article explains what you need to use the Sandbox and how to configure it.

Some of the items mentioned on this article are third-party solutions so the quick guide only goes so far. We provide you links to their websites and links to demonstrations where they can be helpful.

Addresses and Faucets

To use the sandbox the following are required:

  1. Create a non-custodial address: This is an address where you control the private keys — not hosted by a company or app. It lets you simulate payments from an external source, like a customer, by using payment links. Below you have links for 2 possible non-custodial addresses that support BTC Testnet and Goerli ETH (address setup and faucet):

  2. Enable testnet: Testnet is a separate blockchain that allows you to use the address without real currency (using Testnet coins). Testnet coins are a special type of cryptocurrency used for testing purposes. This way you can learn how the blockchain works without the risk of losing real money.

  3. Copy the address: Each address has a unique identifier (like a blockchain location or hash) that allows it to be recognized wherever it’s used. You can direct payment links to this address, and monitor related payments within the application.

  4. Get free tokens: Use an online faucet to receive free test tokens to your address. With them, you can try out your address, make test transactions, and explore how Coinsflow works. Below is a list of faucets giving out free test tokens:

Testnet coins have no real value. They are only used for testing and are not intended to be used for real transactions.
